ARTE Europe
5 years on

Since November 2015 and with the support of the European Commission, ARTE has created a truly European streaming service by producing a total of nearly 8,000 hours of subtitled programmes as well as tailor-made campaigns for ARTE’s target countries and languages.

Phase 5 of ARTE Europe is the first phase integrated into the Creative Europe – MEDIA programme after four years of pilot project and preparatory action. It allowed for continuity and growth in a year when Europeans needed to be informed and entertained by quality factual content and increasing diversity displayed in the online publication of programmes from December 1st 2019 to December 31st 2020.
